The Doon School was founded in 1935 by Satish Ranjan Das, .It  is a boys only independent boarding school in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. the founder of this school was a Kolkata lawyer, who precised a school modelled on the British public school, but conscious of Indian ambitions and desires. The school's first headmaster was an Englishman, Arthur E. Foot. This school is member of G20 Schools and also Round Square group. Admission in this school is based on a competitive entrance examination and an interview.According to outlook The Doon School Delradun is the #1 ( rank one ) school in India.

Admission Process for 2018

➤  Admission to the school is based on a  entrance examination and tan interview

➤ Application form is available in  January and April .
➤Mode of application is online and offline both

The school admits boys in January and April every year. In the month pf January, it admits into the 8th standard . and the written test is held in November of every year.

After qualifying the examination students are calling for an interview

Note ➨The school gives some consideration to the sons, grandsons, and brothers of Old Boys as also to brothers of boys currently in school.

 The test consists of four papers: English, Hindi, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. and in April it admits into the 7th standard.

The Doon School does not provide any formal examination syllabus for students. This is because the examination tests the subjects are already being taught in comparable schools. The papers are designed to be accessible to boys from a variety of education backgrounds, from CBSE to ICSE to IGCSE and state boards.so The Doon school does not provide specific syllabus

Fees Structure

For Indian Residents:
 Rs. 9,70,000 per Annam and incidental expenses are estimated at around 25,000/-(twenty five thousand ) per term.  And refundable security deposit of Rs. 3,50,000/- ( Three lakhs fifty thousand ) is required at the time of admission.  onetime admission fee of Rs. 3,50,000/- is also charged.
