Difference Between High and Low Voltage Distribution System

Difference Between High and Low Voltage Distribution System Difference Between High and Low Voltage Distribution System . The system by which power is distributed from sub-station/control station to consumers is known as distribution system. Distribution can be done either at high voltage or low voltage : Difference Between High and Low Voltage Distribution System Classification of Distribution Box Disribution system is also divided into : 1.Primary Distribution :  Primary distribution system is a system in which electric power is delivered from sub-station to Bulk consumers at 33 KV /11 KV either by overhead or underground system. 2.Secondary Distribution : secondary distributin system is  a system by which electric power is delivered from small sub-station to domestic consumers at 400 v / 230 volts. Comparison between primary/high voltage distribution system and secondary/low voltage distribution system. High Voltage Distribution System  Low V

Disadvantage of Low Power Factor | Causes 10 Points |

Disadvantage of Low Power  Disadvantage of Low Power and Causes of low power factor , In this post you will know about what is causes and disadvantages of low power factor in electrical engineering . Power Factor  The power factor of a circuit can be defined as one of the following way Disadvantage of Low Power Factor 1. The cosine of angle between Voltage (V)and current (I) is known as power factor 2. it is the ratio of Resistance and Impedance               Power factor=R/Z= Resistance\Impedance 3.It is the ratio of true power and Apparent power              Power Factor = True Power/Apparent Power  For example , in a resistor , the current and voltage are in phase . Therefore, power factor of a pure resistive circuit is cos 0=1. Similarly , phase difference between voltage and current in a pure inductive or capacitive circuit is 90 degree.Hence power factor of pure L or c circuit is zero. This is the reason that power consumed by pure L or c is zero.

Advantage of Electrical Energy Over Other Energy | 11 point |

Advantages of Electrical Energy Over other forms energy  Potential to do a work is called Energy. Advantage of electricity to other form of energy .Energy can neither be created and nor destroyed. It is only converted from one form to another form . There are several types of energy : advantage of electricity Types of energy 1. Mechanical Energy   2.Electrical Energy  3.Heat Energy 4.Light Energy. 5.Solar Energy  6.Chemical Energy. 7.Sound Energy. 8.Wind Energy. Application of electrical energy: Electrical Energy is mostly used in Industrial, commercial and domestic field due to it's advantages over other form of of energy . Some of the advantages of electrical energy over other type of energy are : 1. It is clean and cheap 2. It can be easily controlled. 3. It is more flexible. 4.It has higher efficiency. 5.It can be easily transmitted over long distance. 6.It is environment friendly. 7.It's operation is noiseless 8.It

#5 Major Advantages of Direct Current over Alternating Current

Advantages of DC over AC These are the #5 Major Advantages of direct current  over alternating current  are : 1. In industries  a.c. is commonly used but in some applications like battery charging , electroplating , electrolysis etc. only d.c. supply is suitable  2. Speed controls D.C. Motors are better suited for speed controls over wide range . 3.  In a.c. transmission line In a.c. transmission line if there is no load at receiving end , charging current flows through the line .But in d.c. line if there is no load at receiving end , there is no current flowing through the line  4. Alternating current flowing through a.c. line produces alternating flux. This alternating flux interferes with telephone lines . This problem is not there in D.C. lines 5. In a.c. , eddy current loss, dielectric loss and skin effect occurs . Whereas such losses are not there in d.c. lines Advantages of DC over AC  DO YOU KNOW ➤ Advantages of A.C. Over D.C.

Advantages of A.C over D.C. | Alternating Current & Direct Current |

Advantages of A.C over D.C. list of few advantages of A.C. supply over D.C. Supply are :These are the some following major advantages of Alternating current over direct current Advantages of A.C over D.C 1. A  supply voltage can be raised or lowered by using transformer in A.C. as per requirement. It is not easy to do in the case of D.C. Supply. 2. For a given size of machine , the power generated in three phase alternator is three times the power generated in d.c. generator .Smaller size of machine make it cheaper  3. Generation of power at high voltage is easier in the case of a.c. than the case of d.c. generation. It is because of commutation problem in d.c. generation 4. For transmission of a given amount of power over a given distance at a given voltage , the conductor material required in the case of three phase a.c. system is less than conductor material  required in two wire d.c. system 5.In case of 3 phase , 4 wire system two different voltages 230

Difference between Ac and DC | Alternating Current & Direct Current |Distinguish|

Difference between Ac and DC  In this post i am sharing with you about for main  Difference between Ac and DC   Alternating Current and Direct current . In a close circuit , an electric current is the flow of free electrons . These are two kinds of electric current  1. Direct Current (DC): A  Direct Current has the following characteristics: 1.It flows in one direction only  2.It flows always from +ve terminal to -ve terminal of supply 3.It nay or may not have constant value and thus direct current may be :   (a) Steady D.C.   (b)Pulsating D.C. Q . What is steady D.C. ( Direct. Current ). Answer ➨  A direct current which has constant magnitude is called Steady D.C. Q. What is Pulsating D.C. (Direct Current ). Answer ➨  A Direct Current which changes the magnitude with the passage of time but flow in same direction is known as Pulsating D.C. 2. Alternating Current (A.C.) An alternating current has the following characteristic : 1.It cha
